Coercive Control

A handful of states, including California, Hawaii, and New York, have either introduced or passed laws expanding the definition of domestic abuse to include “coercive control.” Psychologist and senior lecturer at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst Lisa Fontes wrote a book called “Invisible Chains” about overcoming coercive control in a relationship.
