A sock that can sense tiny details in the way you’re standing or walking. A vest that knows if you’re slouching or sitting up straight. Putting sensors into clothing is nothing new. But a team at MIT, led by researcher Yiyue Luo, has figured out how to make the sensors themselves into a woven piece of clothing. So you can be literally covered in sensors, detecting the pressure of your body as you move.
