Parents can be so engrossed in their phones that they aren’t present with their children,” says Clark.  “We want to make sure to give young people the opportunity to take the lead and teach us what we don’t know.”

We give them interesting problems to work on and it’s proof that undergrads can come up with great things,” says Barrett.  “There is a market opportunity but there’s more to it than that, it is a genealogy tool,” says Mike Alder, director of BYU's Technology Transfer office.
