Guest: Kimball Parker, JD, Director of BYU LawX, Practicing Attorney at Parsons, Behle & Latimer Lawyers are expensive. And most people who are slapped with a lawsuit from, say, a debt-collection agency or a landlord, don’t have the money for an attorney or the expertise to fight their case in court. So most people just don’t respond to the lawsuit, which ends up in a judgment against them. Why isn’t there a TurboTax-like program for responding to a lawsuit? He’s heading up a new program in BYU’s Law School that will create technical solutions to legal problems. It’ll be a lab program called LawX.
