Heartfelt ScienceTop of Mind with Julie Rose • Season 1, Episode 1689, Segment 6
Sep 17, 2021 • 16m
We always talk about the heart as if it plays a part in our emotions, even though it’s just an organ. Our hearts can be “full of love” or “sink in disappointment.” But those aren’t just sayings—the heart does influence our emotions. Sarah Garfinkel has conducted multiple studies on this. She’s a professor of clinical and affective neuroscience at Brighton and Sussex Medical School in England. (Originally aired May 11th, 2021)
