Afghanistan’s new Taliban leaders have said they plan to allow girls and women to pursue education and careers. But their actions have not yet inspired much confidence in those promises. Middle schools and high schools reopened in Afghanistan over the weekend – for boys. The Taliban said nothing about girls in those grades, so they stayed home, according to a Washington Post report. Olomi discusses the people now controlling Afghanistan. (AP Photo/Bernat Armangue)
