A common side-effect of stroke or other brain damage is aphasia – where a person loses language ability. They may be unable to speak or comprehend, but they don’t lose intellect. It can be an incredibly isolating condition. Aphasia Games for Health is a collaboration aiming to help those with aphasia recover their language skills. Will Evans, professor of communication and disorders at the University of Pittsburgh, is developing these games.
