Grasshoppers in Vegas

Just like how a porchlight is a magnet for bugs, insects are drawn to really bright cities like Las Vegas. The great Las Vegas grasshopper invasion of 2019 became the subject of research conducted by University of Oklahoma ecologist Elske Tielens and published in Biology Letters.
