The Great Depression once sparked the hiring of artists to produce hundreds of thousands of pieces of art. One of those pieces of art was lost in the 1970s. It took some dedicated sleuthing on the part of the director of the Richmond Museum of History and Culture to find the mural and then some more dedicated work by mural and fine art conservator Scott Haskins, founder of the Fine Art Conservation Laboratories, to bring the mural back to its former glory.
