Coming out of President Trump's summit with Putin, the two leaders did not announce any specific agreements resulting from their private meeting, other than a commitment to work together on countering terrorism and nuclear proliferation. When pressed by several American journalists to acknowledge the conclusions of US intelligence agencies and directly criticize Russia for meddling in the 2016 election – or anything else, for that matter, Trump declined. Was the summit a win for Putin, or a loss for Trump?
