A Believer's Take on Human Evolution

Guest: Steven L. Peck, PhD, professor of evolutionary ecology, BYU, author of “Evolving Faith”  Is it possible to believe that we humans evolved from a lower life-form and also believe in divine Creator? Isn’t it one or the other? You either believe the Bible’s account of Adam and Eve, the first humans created by the hand of God, or you believe Charles Darwin’s theories “On the Origin of Species” and “The Descent of Man.” The two seem entirely incompatible. But BYU evolutionary ecology professor Steven L. Peck finds them compatible enough that his belief in the scientific evidence for evolution actually strengthens his belief in God.
