If there were an edge of the earth, or an end, it would be the Altai mountains at the intersection of Kazakhstan, Mongolia and Russia. Here, the last of an ancient group of falconers still hunt foxes and wolves with trained golden eagles . . . while on horseback . . . on the top of the mountains.
