Link Outside

LA-based Muslim prison ministry Link Outside administrators Amin Eshaiker and Jesse Maroney speak with Steve about building relationships with incarcerated Americans to help them heal and discover their strength. Amin Eshaiker grew up in Corona, California, and went to University High School in Irvine, California. Afterwards, he graduated from the University of California-Los Angeles (UCLA) with a degree in history and political science. He helped to build Link Outside’s one-of-a-kind inmate programming and services using the skills he picked up from the corporate world. Jesse Maroney accepted Islam while serving an eight-year sentence in prison. Upon release, he continued his Islamic studies and became a public speaker (khateeb) in the state of Connecticut. In his current role at Link Outside, he is responsible for promoting Islamic spiritual practices for inmates.
