Edward D. Hess is a Professor of Business Administration and Batten Executive-in-Residence at the Darden Graduate School of Business at the University of Virginia. He spent over 30 years in the business world prior to joining academia as a lawyer, investment banker, strategy consultant, and entrepreneur. Ed Hess is the author of Humility Is the New Smart: Rethinking Human Excellence in the Smart Machine Age.
