The Green Urban Lunch Box

While we live in an advanced world, we seem to get farther away from the raw foods our past ancestors used to rely on. Eating healthy and clean now comes at a high price, unlike all of the over-processed snacks that are only a couple dollars. Because of this, many low-income families do not have the ability to make the choices at the grocery store they would like to, and they have to sacrifice health to be able to put enough food on the table. Since 2011, The Green Urban Lunch Box has been on a mission to connect people with agriculture by providing food, resources, and even learning opportunities to those who need it most. Today we are speaking with Katie Nelson, the Executive Director of the nonprofit about all the different programs they offer, how you can help, and what they’re looking forward to coming up.
