Anti-Semitic and anti-Asian hate crimes have both risen dramatically in the last two years. An intriguing Instagram account called “Why I Wear My Star”–started by high schoolers Sammy Gabbai and Abby Adams–invites young Jewish people around the country to post a photo of themselves wearing a Star of David and explain why they’re proud to wear it publicly.
