Giving Garden

One of the best types of service are the ones that don’t even feel like service at all. Taking care of a community garden is a great service to your area, but it can feel more like a bonding activity than a chore. Gardens really do have a way of bringing people together, but why is that? In what ways do they both serve and unite the community? Today we are talking with Terri Barrett, the director of Giving Garden, a community garden located in Carrollton, Texas. It has been in operation for 12 years as a nonprofit organization bringing fresh fruits and vegetables to its community.
