As part of Black History Month, many schools around the nation are taking the initiative to diversify their curriculum to include stories once left unheard. But in some parts of the nation, parents and school boards are requesting the option to opt out of these curriculums. The question of what we should be teaching our kids in school and what we should not be bringing to the classroom is a difficult one to answer, and there are several perspectives to consider. But in the end, it is important that our kids understand the history of our nation fully. So how can we teach our children American history in a neutral way?
