We humans are apparently hard-wired to find symmetry attractive – people with symmetrical faces are generally considered better-looking. The balanced circular design of a flower’s petals is appealing to our eyes. Researchers at Stanford University have discovered a way to tap into our hunger for symmetry to help kids better understand abstract math concepts.

Hearing loss turns out to be a pretty big concern for musicians, according to some new work being done by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health.
