Have you ever imagined what it would be like to lose all five of your senses simultaneously? We’ve seen this kind of experience manufactured in sci-fi films and TV Shows such as Stranger Things. The characters are placed in sensory deprivation tanks. But these tanks also exist outside fiction, and are often referred to as flotation tanks. In fact, they’ve grown in popularity, and you might be able to fine one at your local spa. But what is the purpose of losing your sight, smell, hearing, touch and taste? What are the benefits of these tanks? Today we invited Kristopher Gunther, a sensory deprivation tank expert, on the show to talk about flotation tanks and what benefits they can have.
