Tech Transfer: Drone Tracking Software

Guests: Randy Beard, PhD, Professor of Electrical Engineering at BYU; Dave Brown, from BYU’s Technology Transfer Office Remote-control flying robots, unmanned aerial vehicles, drones. Whatever you want to call them, they are huge among hobbyists and for commercial uses like videography or scientific data collection. We know they’re a big part of the current U.S. military strategy, too. Which is all just to say that one of the hottest research areas for engineering right now is honing the capabilities of drones.
