A Virtual Reality Theater Space for Live Performances

We saw lots of experimentation by theater groups this last year streaming their performances live—doing shows with actors Zooming in—but that wasn’t enough for Brendan Bradley. He designed a virtual reality theater where performers and the audience could feel like they’re together in the same room, even though they’re actually at home wearing a virtual reality headset. Bradley is the founder of the Brendan Bradley Integrative Technology Lab at New York University. (Originally aired June 3rd, 2021)
