Before the global pandemic captured headlines, one of the biggest news stories of 2020 was the assassination of Iran’s top military leader Quassem Soleimani by a US drone strike in January. Aaron David Miller joined us to talk about whether the US should take any responsibility for the downed airliner. Miller is currently a senior fellow at the Carnegie Endowment. Max Abrahms then joined us to talk about whether killing Soleimani made the world a safer place. Abrahms is a terrorism expert and political science professor at Northeastern University.
