Ferry pilots have the dangerous job of delivering small planes around the world. These planes aren't meant to fly across the oceans, and an average of three pilots a year die ferrying small aircraft over the North Atlantic alone. Oftentimes, these small planes need temporary modifications, such as extra gas tanks, to be able to make transoceanic journeys.
