Dr. Michelle Skeen, author of the book, “Love Me, Don’t Leave Me,” says that a single negative childhood memory or even a bad break up can leave the scarring fear of abandonment that can affect your relationships later in life. Dr. Skeen has a Bachelor’s and Master’s from Mills College in Oakland, California and a doctorate in clinical psychology from the Write Institute in Berkeley, California.
