There’s a recording studio in New Haven, Connecticut where anyone can step in and make some music. It’s all free, so the place is open to those living on the street or those with a mental illness or serious addiction. It’s called Musical Intervention, and founder Adam Christoferson firmly believes that giving people space to be creative can change their lives and help their brains. And it’s not just a nice idea. An ongoing study out of Yale University and Musical Intervention shows that creating music does help people with psychotic illnesses. (Produced by James Hoopes)
