Childhood AdversityTop of Mind with Julie Rose • Season 1, Episode 1592, Segment 3
May 5, 2021 • 10m
Girls who experience a lot of trauma or abuse as young children are more likely to show delinquent behavior as teenagers. That’s maybe not surprising on its surface –but a study co-authored recently by sociologist Melissa Jones found a strong link between childhood trauma and delinquency in teenaged girls –but not in boys. Jones is a professor at Brigham Young University.
