Maria Ressa is one of two journalists awarded this year’s Nobel Peace Prize for her fight for freedom of the press in the face of adverse conditions. Ressa founded the news website Rappler, which has exposed corruption within Philippines President Rodrigo Duterte’s government and drawn explicit attacks from the president and his supporters. She’s also been investigating Facebook, which she says is biased against journalism and the facts. (Originally aired February 23rd, 2021)
