Eugene Bullard, as a seventh child was destined to be lucky. Yet, luck doesn't begin to describe the incredible life of the first black combat pilot. Bullard escaped racial persecution in his birthplace of Columbus, Georgia by running away to France, where he started off as boxer, performer, and eventually a soldier during WWI. He was also a jazz musician, a spy and much, much more.
