The year is 1628 and a mighty warship Vasa sets sail on her maiden voyage. The Swedes are gathered around, celebrating their newest naval power. But suddenly, the ship keels over and sinks before their eyes. It took centuries to retrieve the wreck, but here's what we've learned about the ship's endeavor, and how the disaster could've easily been prevented.
