Why Climate Change is a Greater Threat to the US than China or Russia

World leaders are at the UN Climate Summit in Glasgow this week, trying to agree on how to slow the effects of climate change. It’s a global problem, so if the entire world can’t agree with using fewer fossil fuels, is there any point to individual countries like the United States trying to do so so aggressively? What if we stop using coal, but China doesn’t, so it just gets richer and more powerful—and thus even more of a threat to the US?
