Federal health officials are likely to approve a COVID-19 vaccine for use for kids as young as five. A nationwide vaccine rollout for those children could start within weeks. But kids don’t get as sick as adults do from COVID . . . and some parents are worried about the effect vaccines might have on their kids. Andy Pavia, chief of pediatric infectious diseases at the University of Utah and director of infectious disease prevention efforts at Primary Children’s Hospital, discusses.
