The FDA could soon give emergency approval to a pill for treating COVID-19. So far the only authorized drugs for COVID have to be injected or delivered through an IV, so a pill people could take at home would be a breakthrough towards ending the pandemic. University of California-San Francisco professor and physician of infectious disease Peter Chin-Hong discusses this recent development.
