Friends Forever

Shannon Hale is known for her best-selling fantasy novels for young readers like “Princess Academy” and “The Goose Girl.” But her latest is a very realistic account of what it’s like to be in 8th grade. She captures the fears and anxieties and intense emotions of that period so well. The book is called “Friends Forever,” and it’s a memoir in graphic novel format, illustrated by Shannon Hale’s close friend and frequent collaborator LeUyen Pham.
