Walmart Tuition

America’s largest private employer – Walmart – will offer free college tuition and books to all its workers starting next week. The offer applies to all 1.5 million part and full-time employees at Walmart and Sam’s Club, but it only goes toward a handful of universities with specific degree programs. Footing the bill for employees to get further education isn’t a new thing in the US. But University of Pennsylvania management professor Peter Cappelli says the latest wave of college tuition programs is different from previous generations.
