It can become easy at work to go through the motions, and simply do your job and then go home. But did you ever wish that you finally got to know one of your coworkers? Or maybe shared that good idea you had at last week’s meeting? Or even ask for the raise you’ve thought about for several months now. While these may seem somewhat small, all of them still take a lot of courage, because rejection is involved. So how can we be more courageous and brave in small ways every day wherever we work? Today we are talking with James Detert, a professor of Business Administration at the University of Virginia’s Darden Graduate School of Business Administration. He is also the author of Choosing Courage: The Everyday Guide to Being Brave at Work.
