Maybe it’s only once a day, more likely it’s a least 5 times a day, but no matter what your kids are going to fight. And whenever they fight, you as the parent, are forced to intervene—which usually involves yelling and tears. And by the end of it all, no one is happy and everyone is upset. And as unhappy as this scenario sounds, the good news is, is that it doesn’t have to be this way! We can avoid the red faces and yelling and instead use those moments of tension to coach and connect with our kids. Here to talk to about this process is Dr. Laura Markham, clinical psychologist and author of “Peaceful Parent, Happy Kids”. Welcome, Dr. Markham!
