Sharon Martinson, AKA The Littlest Birds, is a banjo-playing PhD-having folk musician with a penchant for tree-climbing and night-farming. Don't let all the hyphens scare you! She has toured all over Canada, the UK and the United States and is currently working on a new album (her fourth) titled "Phoenix Rising." Most recently she's been in Argentina and Panama completing valuable ecological research, but also recording a unique submission for NPR's Tiy Desk Concert competition that featured Sharon and her banjo suspended high in a tree! With host Steven Kapp Perry, Sharon discusses her music, her research, her roots in folk music, her love of honey bees, and many other things.
