The National Parks just got back from a month long performance tour of fairly epic road-tripping. They played “Ostrich Fest” in Manitowoc, Wisconsin; drove ALL through the night to make their Seattle gig; played the stage at Pasadena’s Memorial Park; and also concert venues, backyard concerts, house concerts, hole in-the-wall places and cafes from Sacramento to San Francisco and from Reno to Rexburg along with concerts in Colorado (the home state of frontman Brady Parks). Now they’re in our studio for an hour-long episode of music and conversation and we couldn’t be happier. The National Parks debut album “Young” hit No. 13 on the I-Tunes singer/songwriter charts when it was released. And Utah’s SLUG magazine has listed them as one of 9 “must-see” bands. But perhaps the best thing about the band is the simple fact that the harmonies are “so perfect you can’t help but sing along”—and foot-stomp and yell at times too!
