Exposure to Violence (17:47) Dr. Eileen M. Ahlin is an Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice in the School of Public Affairs at Penn State Harrisburg. She earned her Ph.D. in Criminology and Criminal Justice from the University of Maryland, College Park and her research interests include violence, criminological theory, neighborhood effects, and corrections. Law enforcement officers deserve a great deal of respect, these men and women put their lives on the line every day to protect American citizens. That being said, there may be some work to do to improve our police force. The inner cities of our country are suffering from acts of violent crime.
