His research has been done in the areas of Planetary Science, Astrophysics, Exoplanets, and Astrostatistics.  Just when we thought we knew all there was to know about space, Astronomers found at least seven Earth-sized planets orbiting the same star 40 light-years away. The findings were also announced at a news conference at NASA Headquarters in Washington.
