SNAKES! Guest: Jack Sites, PhD, Curator of Herpetology, Monte L. Bean Museum, Brigham Young University  The study of snakes is called “herpetology” which derives from the Greek word “to creep.” And that’s apt: Snakes definitely creep a lot of people out. But BYU herpetologist Jack Sites says that’s because we haven’t been properly introduced to his slithering friends. Blindness: My Second Sight Guest: Vanessa Potter, Author, “Patient H69: The Story of My Second Sight” Vanessa Potter woke up one day blind—or nearly so, but over the course of three days she eventually lost her sight entirely in a case that baffled the doctors attending her. She eventually regained her vision but the world never looked the same to her again. And after hearing her experience, the way you see the world, with your eyes, may never be the same, either.
