Therapy Dropouts

Guest: Partha Krishnamurthy, Ph.D., Professor of Marketing at the University of Houston and Director of the Institute for Health Care Marketing Therapists have a drop out problem. Somewhere in the range of 50 percent of patients in psychotherapy stop showing up for treatment before the prescribed number of sessions is through. They just drop out. Why they drop out is something of a mystery to psychotherapists. But community mental health clinics consider it a pressing problem.
