The crown prince of Saudi Arabia was personally involved in approving the torture and murder of Jamal Khashoggi at the Saudi consulate in Turkey two years ago, according to a report from the US Director of National Intelligence released to the public last Friday. Khashoggi had lived in the US and was working for the Washington Post at the time of his murder, but President Biden has thus far stopped short of directly punishing Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince for the killing.
