Inside Games (0:00:00) Is there anything better than a nice sunny day when you can let your kids run around in the backyard? The cold winter months can be brutal during those moments when the snow piles on your lawn and your children, still bustling with activity, are forced to remain indoors without any kind of outlet for their energy. If you feel like you struggle to keep your kids entertained when it’s cold outside, you’re not alone. We are joined by Lisa’s sister Gina James, a mother, educator, and a dear friend of the Lisa Show.  Time Management (0:18:00) Are you too busy to even take a moment to breathe? Being busy sometimes sounds like you are really getting the most out of your time, when in fact it might be the opposite. So many people struggle to manage their time and end up feeling like they spent their whole day running back and forth without really getting anything done. We are joined by motivational speaker and author Michelle McCullough as she tells us more about how busy people can learn to manage their time better.  Shameless New Year’s Resolutions (0:33:24) Instead of eggnog and gingerbread cookies filling our grocery stores, they may now be filling out our curves and clothes. Despite the dread of a few extra pounds, hopefully we all enjoyed this holiday season and the many delicacies associated with it. And now that we have entered the new year, let’s not be too hard on ourselves as we make resolutions for 2020. Maintaining positive body image after Christmas, however, may be easier said than done. Joining us is Connie Sobczak to help us make healthy resolutions from a place of fulfillment rather than shame.   Punting Conflict (0:49:21) When we are faced with difficult conversations or conflicts, how can we know that we aren’t ready to discuss them, and how can we communicate that to someone else? Conflict coach and certified mediator, Emily Taylor, calls this “punting conflict” and she joins us to share how we can express that we just aren’t ready, willing or available to talk about difficult topics.  Overcoming What Else (1:04:38) We are told at a young age that “the world is our oyster” inspiring us to dream big and seek out the best in life. While we do have endless opportunities the constant search for the next best thing might do us more harm than good. Learning to overcome the thought that something better is on the horizon will benefit our happiness in the long run. Here to tell us how to do this is Kirk Voss. Kirk is a marriage and family therapist. Mini Book Club (1:20:43) Rachel Wadham, host of Worlds Awaiting, shares some of the best books that have been banned or removed from various libraries and schools across the country. Dating Apps (1:29:51) Online dating is one of the most common ways people are meeting their significant others. It is estimated that one-third of married couples in the U.S. met online, and about 15 percent of adults have used dating sites or apps. But sometimes taking the first step to make an online profile can be intimidating, and there are a lot of bad stories out there about dating online. We are joined by the editorial director of Bumble, one of the most successful social media dating apps. Clare O’Connor will share with us some of her dating profile tips as well as how people can stay safe online.
