We Dream of Space Guest: Erin Entrada Kelly, author, “We Dream of Space” In Erin Entrada Kelly's new novel, "We Dream of Space," she tells the fictional story of three middle schoolers in 1986 who dream of space and becoming part of its exploration. The students' world gets turned upside down shortly after the Space Shuttle Challenger explosion that happened only 73 seconds after launch. Turns out children watching at school were the largest audience to view that disaster live.  Bringing Columbia Home Guests: Mike Leinbach, NASA’s final Space Shuttle Launch Director at the Kennedy Space Center; Jonathan Ward, author, Fellow of the Royal Astronomical Society, and executive coach at the Center for Creative Leadership. Both are co-authors of “Bringing Columbia Home: The Untold Story of a Lost Space Shuttle and Her Crew” On February 1, 2003, the space shuttle Columbia disintegrated on re-entry, killing all seven astronauts aboard and scattering debris over rural areas in East Texas. What followed after is the incredible story of community involvement and an outpouring of support from all kinds of people as NASA worked to bring Columbia home.
