One of our all-time favorite Harry Potter characters, Luna Lovegood once said, “being different isn’t a bad thing. It means you’re brave enough to be yourself.” This heartwarming quote is normally used to help people embrace their uniqueness, but what if the thing that makes you different is seen as a disability to others? For many people in the United States their uniqueness is what limits their ability to engage and participate in the world around them. Today we want to highlight a special organization that is dedicated to making the world into a place where people with developmental disabilities are inspired, respected, engaged in their community, and empowered to achieve their personal best and where families, guardians, and advocates receive the knowledge, resources, and support they need. We want to welcome EP!C’s Director of Marketing. At EP!C she is also lovingly known as the “Promotor of Everything Good”
