Midnight North is currently on a tour that’s taking them from the West Coast to the East—from Utah, California and Colorado to New York, New Jersey and venues in between. The band just released a new LIVE album that can be downloaded for free called “Live at Terrapin Crossroads” with music from their weekly gig in San Rafael, CA. Their original Americana/rock tunes can also be heard on their studio albums: “Scarlet Skies” and “End of the Night.”  Steven Kapp Perry chats with the band about everything from the number of weather related lyrics in their songs (there are a lot, and they like the rain) to jamming with Bonnie Raitt, their love of the San Francisco Giants and how Craigslist played a role in the band coming together. Midnight North switches up their lead vocals. Instead of a single frontman Elliott Peck, Graham Lesh and Alex Jordan take turns singing harmony or lead vocals and to keep things interesting also sometimes swap instruments: guitar & piano. Connor Croonn plays electric bass and Alex Koford’s on snare drum with brushes. Songs featured: Phoenix Motel, Lucky One, Greene County, Find a Way, Highway Song, San Francisco Rain, The End of the Night. Follow Highway 89 on Twitter @byuh89 and on Instagram @byuh89.
