The morning of this taping we had a 9 foot blue Italian harpsichord specially delivered to our studio—it was quite a sight to behold!  Avi Stein and Ezra Seltzer flew to Provo, Utah from New York for a few days of early music performance with their friend Alex Woods of the BYU School of Music Faculty.  Their schedule included this HWY89 radio performance, a separate concert, and master classes—all precursors to a recording project of early virtuoso violin sonatas slated for later this year in New Jersey. In this hour they play rarely heard pieces by Giovanni Henrico Albicastro and Evaristo Felice Dall’Abaco.  Steven Kapp Perry asks Alex Woods about discovering this music and his friendship with Ezra and Avi; as well as chatting with Avi Stein about an organ performance in the middle of the jungle!
