When American soldiers arrived at the Buchenwald Nazi prison camp in 1945, they discovered 1000 boys among the 21,000 surviving prisoners. Robbie Waisman was one of them. His story of survival and recovery is the focus of a new book for middle-schoolers called “Boy from Buchenwald.” Journalist Susan McClelland co-wrote the memoir with Waisman.
